Civil Society and Social Actor Participation
In preparation for the Seventh Summit of the Americas, which will be held in Panama City, Panama on April 10-11, 2015, a series of activities revolving around the central theme "Prosperity with Equity: The Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas", will be implemented to facilitate the participation and meaningful contribution of civil society and social actors in the Seventh Summit process.

"The Road to Panama" is designed to include both virtual and face-to-face components and thus provide opportunities to effectively channel recommendations to the discussion, negotiation and implementation of Summit mandates. The outcomes of these activities and the forms of participation are outlined below.

Virtual Consultations
Summit Talk: a series of online consultations of approximately 3-4 weeks each, to facilitate broad participation by civil society and social actors and moderated by experts. A report of these consultations are made available online and also transmitted to the Member States.
Policy Dialogues
An open forum/roundtable in which experts present their perspectives on the Seventh Summit themes and discuss these themes with Member States and the general public.
Consultation / Recommendation Sessions
National and hemispheric face-to-face consultations with civil society and social actor representatives in OAS Member States and OAS Headquarters in Washington, DC, to propose, debate and compile concrete recommendations on the specific Summit documents. Recommendations are presented directly to Member States to inform their negotiations of Summit commitments.
IV Young Americas Forum
The Young Americas Forum is a space provided by the Young Americas Business Trust where youth, as Social Actors, are actively involved in the process of the Summits of the Americas. The IV Forum, official event of the VII Summit of the Americas, will focus their dialogues on the theme "Prosperity with Equity: The Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas".
An implementation component, in which young entrepreneurs contribute with solutions and innovative actions to the subthemes of the VII Summit - the Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas "TIC Americas 2015" - an international platform of entrepreneurship and an accelerator of start-ups.
